The types, specifications, models, and installation positions of various panels should be accurate and there should be no omissions. The types, specifications, models, and installation positions of various fasteners should be omitted or loose. The surface of various panels and fasteners should be free of defects such as damage, holes, holidays, coating peeling, scratches, pollution, and warping. In heavy rain weather, there should be no leakage during inspection.

  Preparation before lifting:

  a) Check the load-bearing roof truss and purlins for any unevenness or skewness. If any non-compliance is found, immediately notify the previous process for handling. Check if there are any protrusions on the roof that hinder installation, and promptly handle them if found.

  b) Check if there is any local warping or deformation of the color steel plate caused by transportation, and repair it with a wooden hammer; Excessive deformation that cannot be repaired is strictly prohibited from being used in the project.

  c) Before lifting, safety education must be conducted and inspections must be conducted by the safety department.

  Planking:

The laying sequence of color steel plates is generally from top to bottom, starting from the direction of the tail wind all year round.

  (1) Roof color steel plate

The roof of this project adopts single-layer color steel plates, which are fixed on the roof purlins with brackets during installation.

  a) Set a reference line at the top of the mountain wall and set a ruler to draw lines. Use a steel ruler to determine the position line of each board based on the reference line. Use the width of 10 boards as the reference line for retesting to avoid cumulative errors.

  b) Pull through the lines at the ridge and eaves to ensure that the tiles are aligned in a straight line at the ridge and eaves.

  c) Install the first roof panel, set the male buckle edge of the first roof panel to the starting line, and adjust the entire panel in place. Then, use self tapping screws to directly fix the panel to the purlin.

  d) Install the second roof panel, fasten the male buckle edge of the second roof panel to the female buckle edge of the first panel, adjust the positioning, and align it with the eaves position of the first panel. Use self tapping screws to fix the second panel to the purlin.

  e) Install the third and fourth blocks

  (2) Wall color steel plate

The walls of this project are made of single-layer color steel plates, which are fixed on the wall purlins during installation. The installation method is basically the same as the color steel plate on the roof.

  (3) Flooding

  a. The installation overlap length of the flashing board shall not be less than 50mm, and it shall be overlapped in the direction of water flow or dominant wind direction. Double sided self-adhesive tape shall be placed between the two boards at the overlap, and double rows of rivets shall be used to fix them in a staggered manner. The spacing between rows and nails shall not exceed 100mm.

  b. The flashing board should be processed according to the actual size on site.

  c. The overlap of the roof edge material must be fixed with aluminum rivets and waterproof with waterproof glue.

  d. The self tapping screw heads and aluminum pulling nail heads of the roof edge closing plate must be prevented with waterproof glue.

  e. Ridge cover plate and cornice flashing (including gutter) shall be paved with foam plugs.

  f. When there is a need to make changes to the fixing method of the edge board construction based on on-site measurement, the confirmed drawings shall prevail.

  (4) Cleaning and waste disposal

  a. The metal shavings generated during cutting iron and fixing screws in the steel plate laying area should be cleaned before the end of each day.

  b. Before finishing work every day, it is necessary to clean up any debris and debris (such as PVC cloth, steel strip, etc.) on the roof, floor, and gutter.

  c. The remaining waste materials cut during construction should be collected and stacked by personnel on a daily basis.

  d. All remaining waste materials need to be cleaned and disposed of before completion.

  e. After completion, the surface of the colored steel plate should be inspected, and the contaminated parts should be cleaned thoroughly.

  (5) Precautions

  a. When cutting colored steel plates, the exposed surface should be facing downwards to avoid the file debris generated during cutting sticking to the coating surface, causing the surface debris to vaporize.

  b. When construction personnel walk on the roof, they should step on the board valley along the drainage direction and on the purlin direction, and they must wear soft flat shoes.

  c. When the roof needs to be longitudinally (vertically) overlapped, the overlapping length should be at least 15 centimeters. The waterproof adhesive should be applied according to the design drawing, and the overlapping position should be at the position of the strip (the wall overlapping length should be at least 10 centimeters, placed on the strip).

  d. The self tapping screw is fixed to the rib plate, and its depression is based on the principle that the bottom surface of the self tapping screw is aligned with the centerline of the rib plate. ± 1.5mm is qualified. The overly tight part should be waterproof with waterproof glue, and the overly loose part should be re locked.

  e. At the end of each day's work, the colored steel plate materials left on the roof truss and ground should be securely tied with nylon or hemp ropes.

  f. Self tapping screws must be perpendicular to the support surface, and the forcing washer must be intact.

  (2) Safe and Civilized Construction:

Due to the fact that roof panel construction is a high-altitude operation, safe operation is very important, and roof panels are prone to deformation and damage to coatings during transportation, lifting and installation. Civilized construction must be highly valued, and the following points should be noted specifically.

  (1) Security:

  Operators must receive high-altitude safety education;

  When installing roof panels, safety ropes should be hung under the roof, and protective railings should be welded around;

Operators should wear labor protection equipment such as helmets, safety belts, soft soled shoes, sunglasses, etc.

  (2) Civilized construction:

Color steel plates are strictly prohibited from direct contact with hard objects during transportation and lifting, and should be isolated with soft materials.

When manually lifting, it should be handled with care, coordinated and consistent, and dragging is strictly prohibited to prevent the color steel plate from twisting and deforming, damaging the coating.

Each construction should ensure that the materials are cleared after completion. Roof tiles that have not been installed on the same day should be fixed to the purlins to avoid being blown to the ground and damaged by the wind. Do a good job in protecting the finished products and strictly prohibit the roof tiles that have already been constructed from being hit by sharp or hard objects.

  (3) Acceptance criteria

  1. Visual inspection

The types, specifications, models, and installation positions of various panels should be accurate and there should be no omissions. The types, specifications, models, and installation positions of various fasteners should be omitted or loose. In heavy rain weather, there should be no leakage during inspection.

  2. Dimensional error inspection

The misalignment between the eaves of the roof panel and the adjacent two panels at the lower end of the wall panel should be less than 5mm, and the straightness deviation should be less than 1/1000, and should not exceed 20mm.

The unevenness and side bending of the profiled plate should be less than 1/1000 and not more than 20mm.

The overlap length between boards such as flashing boards, corner boards, and expansion joint covers should be a positive deviation. The misalignment between adjacent boards should be less than 5mm, and their straightness deviation should be less than 1/1000 and not more than 20mm.

The positioning deviation of fasteners such as self tapping bolts and rivets shall not exceed 5mm.
