1. Main structure

- Surface material:

Metal plate (galvanized steel plate, aluminum plate, etc.) : corrosion resistant, beautiful, suitable for external walls and roofs.

- Core layer:

PU (polyurethane foam) : excellent thermal insulation performance, fire rating up to B1~B2.

2. Characteristics and advantages

- Light weight and high strength: low density (usually 15-40kg/m³), reduce the building load, easy to transport and install.

Insulation: The closed cell structure of the foam layer effectively blocks heat transfer, and the energy saving effect is remarkable.

- Waterproof and moisture-proof: surface metal or waterproof coating can prevent water seepage, XPS/PU core layer is resistant to moisture.

- Convenient construction: modular design, cutting, drilling, direct installation, shorten the construction period.

- Economy: The comprehensive cost is lower than the traditional brick-concrete structure, especially suitable for temporary construction or rapid engineering.

Thermal conductivity: 0.022~0.045 W/(m·K) (lowest PU, best insulation).

Fire rating: B1 (non-combustible) to A (non-combustible, rockwool composite board).

Compressive strength: EPS about 100-300kPa, XPS can reach more than 500kPa.

Service life: 15-30 years (depending on surface material and environment).

5. Precautions

Fire safety: Ordinary foam board may release toxic gases in case of fire, flame retardant or rock wool core material should be selected.

Durability: The metal surface should be treated with rust prevention to avoid long-term wet environment use.

Installation specification: The joints should be sealed to prevent water seepage or cold bridge effect.

6. Common market types
